Log Screen Boom FAQs

Are Log Boom Systems Customizable?

Yes. Log screen boom is provided fully customizable to address project’s challenges efficiently.

What Is Log Screen Used for?

Log boom system is typically used to prevent logs and large-scale floating debris from passing through.

What Is the Mesh Screen of Log boom System Made from?

The screen of log screen boom is designed with hot-dipped galvanized steel, ensuring high-performance.

What Wave Environment and Tidal Flow Log Screen Boom Is Suitable for?

Log screen barrier is ideal for marinas with medium duration waves and moderate to high tidal flows.

Are Log Boom Systems Durable?

Yes. Log boom system is engineered highly durable with UV-stabilized Polyethylene float units, ensuring maximum efficiency in different weather conditions.

Is HDPE Log Boom System Available?

Yes. Log boom systems are provided fully customizable and can be designed with HDPE float units.

Log Screen Boom for Hydropower Dams and Water Channels

Log screen boom is a heavy-duty barrier used to prevent large, heavy floating debris and trash, like logs, branches, and ice from passing through. For hydro dams and water channels where floating logs, ice, and large-scale debris can harm their structure, log boom systems offer unmatched strength and coverage with their ultra-high resistance and heavy loads. They can also be used in natural waterways and reservoirs with continuous waves and tidal flows efficiently.

How Log Boom System Prevents High Load Logs and Branches

Log boom system includes float units with mesh screen underneath. The float units are made from Polyethylene foam, filled with closed-cell solid Polyethylene foam, covering the surface water level. The underneath screen is designed with hot-dipped galvanized steel diamond mesh in a steel frame that ensures no heavy debris passing from under the float units. The spaces between mesh screens are fully articulated, ensuring maximum debris control.

Customizable Log Boom Systems for Canadian Projects

Log screen boom is provided with fully customizable design to ensure maximum efficiency in Canadian projects, where heavy break load and all-weather operation are the priority. One of the most common challenges in Canada marinas is water level adjustments. Water levels may be changed in some intervals, which disrupts the performance of log boom system installed for long-term operations. The log screen boom can be equipped with water-level compensators at the end connections to adjust the log screen with water level changes.
